Project Overview

A collaboration with Global Shapers Accra Hub to carry out a youth-led environmental initiative transforming plastic waste into opportunities for education, sustainability, and empowerment.

The Challenge

Plastic pollution in coastal communities poses serious environmental and public health risks.

What We Did

Implemented weekly waste collection, conducted climate education, organized clean-ups, and upcycled waste into school bags for school children.

These outcomes show how targeted community action improved healthcare access, supported continued care, and restored dignity for families in need.

Impact & Outcomes

  • Over 3.6 tonnes of plastic waste were diverted from the environment.
